LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland built a nine-point fourth quarter lead behind 16 points from Jalita Fason and 15 by Nicole Bowers and the Phoenix withstood a frantic charge from seventh-ranked Shawnee State, holding on for a 61-59 victory in women’s basketball action here Thursday night at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.
