LEBANON, Tenn. – Eight Cumberland basketball players – five women and three men -- were named Mid-South Conference Scholar-Athletes earlier this week in advance of the conference tournament, as announced by the league office.
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s TaCouya Allen was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 26.5 points and 13.0 rebounds along with 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games last week.
LEBANON, Tenn. – Seniors TaCouya Allen and Casie Cowan both set career-highs in their final games, scoring 33 points each, and Allen added 13 rebounds, as Cumberland started quickly in both halves en route to an 84-66 victory over the University of Rio Grande in women’s basketball action here Saturday at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Georgetown College shot 75 percent from the field in the first half, building a 23-point lead during the period, and never looked back, as the eighth-ranked Tigers dominated Cumberland in a 79-43 victory here Saturday in women’s basketball action at Davis-Reid Alumni Gymnasium.
