LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Bre Neal was voted the Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after posting her fourth double-double of the season at Middle Georgia State in CU’s only game.

The Memphis, Tenn., native posted a career-best 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds along with three assists and three steals in a 75-68 win over the Knights. The senior hit 7-of-12 shots and was 5-for-6 at the foul line. She was one of three players in double figures for CU, which improved to 5-5 on the road this season.

Neal is averaging 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season while starting all 19 contests.

The game ended a six-game road swing for Cumberland, which has played just one home contest since December 5. The Phoenix returns home Thursday to take on 22nd-ranked Lindsey Wilson at 6 p.m. at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.
