Portland's Trouten transferring to CU
Portland’s Mackenzie Trouten inked scholarship papers with CU women's basketball for the 2019-20 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s basketball coach Scott Blum announced the signing of Portland, Tenn., native and Chattanooga State transfer Mackenzie Trouten to scholarship papers this week for the 2019-20 academic year.

Trouten earned four letters in basketball for coach Miranda Cravens at Portland High School, earning All-District and Second Team All-County accolades as a junior and senior for the Panthers. She also lettered in volleyball at PHS, garnering All-District honors as a junior and All-District Tournament recognition as a senior.

She played the last two seasons at Chattanooga State Community College, averaging 9.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists as a sophomore. Trouten posted 9.7 points, 4.2 boards and 2.2 assists as a freshman for the Tigers.

She is the daughter of Karen and Basil Trouten.
