Friendship's Pittman signs with CU women's hoops
Lebanon native Ashlyn Pittman inked scholarship papers with CU women's basketball for the 2019-20 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s basketball coach Scott Blum announced the signing of Lebanon native Ashlyn Pittman to scholarship papers this week for the 2019-20 academic year.

She player her freshman and sophomore seasons at Friendship Christian School for Deanna Teeter and her junior and senior years for Jeremy Hawks, garnering All-District honors in all four campaigns and scoring more than 1,700 career points. Pittman was a Miss Basketball Finalist during her senior season and set the school single-game scoring record with 50 points.

She also lettered four years in cross country for the Commanders. She is the daughter of David and Latrice Pittman and the granddaughter of Larry Jo Inman, former coach at Middle Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State as well as Lebanon and Mt. Juliet High School.
