Women's Cross Country place 5th in Opener

LEBANON, Tenn.- Cumberland’s women’s cross country placed 5th out of 10 teams Saturday at the North Alabama Open in Florence Ala.

Senior Amber Mays helped lead the women’s cross country team to 5th place by breaking her own previous school record by 34 seconds and placing 6th out of 98 runner with a time of 18:47.6.

Sophomore Aleksandra Petrova came in 30th place with a time of 20:13.0, while senior Abigayle Gawthorp placed 37th recording a time of 20:30.3, Junior Elise Krone placed 48th with a time of 20:52.4.

Junior Hannah Spring placed 68th with a time of 22:09.2, freshman Victoria Reales Pruano came in 77th place with a time of 23:08.6 while Riley Killian came in 81st place with a time of 24:04.7

Cumberland scored 164 points as a team to place 5th.
