GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Cumberland Women's cross country placed 22nd out of 26 teams Saturday at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge Invitational.

The Phoenix posted 543 points to finish 22nd as they finished ahead of Mid-South opponent Campbellsville University.

Senior Amber Mays finished in 42nd place with a time of 19:23, the best finish for the Phoenix. Senior Abby Gawthorp finished 76th with a time of 19:46. Sasha Petrova came in at 131st with a time of 20:21.

Freshman Elise Krone finished in 180th place at 21:05, and junior Hannah Spring came in 192nd place with a time of 21:20. Victoria Reales Pruano came in 218th place with a time of 21:53.

There were 277 ladies that completed the 5k race.

Cumberland's next meet is at the Mid-South Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky. on November 9th.
