Women's Cross Country place 3rd in Conference Championship

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Cumberland Women's cross country placed 3rd out of 9 conference teams Saturday at the Mid-South Conference Championship.

The Phoenix posted 88 points to finish 3rd out of nine teams, with also having two runners place in the top ten.

Senior Amber Mays dominated, finishing 3rd with a time of 19:02, the best finish for the Phoenix. Mays will be a national qualifier as one of the top 4 finishers finishing 15th place or better who is not on a national qualifying team, she also received 1st team All-Conference.

Sasha Petrova placed 10th for Cumberland with a time of 19:47, Petrova received 2nd team All-Conference.

Riley Killian and Elise Krone finished in 23rd and 24th place with both recording times of 20:55. Sarah Sneed and Abigayle Gawthorp placed back to back by coming in 28th and 29th place with a time of 21:06 and 21:08.

Hannah Spring placed 37th with a time of 21:31 and Victoria Reales Pruano came in 42nd place with a time of 21:48.

There were 80 ladies that completed the 5k race.
