159 named to Spring 2017 Dean's List

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the Dean’s List for Spring 2017 last week with 159 student-athletes and athletic training majors recognized. The honor is reserved for undergraduate students who achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland juniors Savanna Strode and Morgan Stuckey were named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced during the NAIA Championships last week by the national office. Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average and above to be eligible for the award.


Cumberland women move up four spots in NAIA Championships

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland moved up four spots as a team to 22nd on another inclement-weather filled day at the 23rd Annual NAIA Women’s Golf Championships at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., on Thursday. Teams completed the second round after a six-and-a-half hour weather delay.

Women's golf gets at-large berth to NAIA Championships

125 student-athletes set for graduation Saturday

LEBANON, Tenn. – One hundred and twenty-five current and former Cumberland student-athletes, athletic trainers and athletic staff will receive their degrees this Saturday in the 175th Commencement ceremonies on the lawn of Memorial Hall. Burgdorf earns First Team All-MSC; Williams named Coach of the Year

LAST DAY: CU accepting nominations for 2017 Hall of Fame class

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland University Athletic Department is accepting nominations for the Class of 2017 Sports Hall of Fame until Monday, April 3. Nominations must be made in writing and include full justification for the nomination, including statistics, honors, awards and any other pertinent information about the nominee. The 2017 Hall of Fame dinner is set for Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m. in Baird Chapel.

CU hosting All-Sports Camp on Sept. 11

Nine squads earn NAIA Scholar Team honors

LEBANON, Tenn. – The NAIA honored nine Cumberland athletic squads Friday as NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2015-16 academic year. Teams must obtain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average or higher for all eligible varsity student-athletes during the past academic year to garner the award.
