LEBANON, Tenn. – Junior Ana Laura Pages Preuss shot even-par 72 for a three-stroke victory and junior Raquel Romero Valverde carded a five-over 77, as Cumberland women’s golf claimed first place in the rain-shortened Mid-South Conference Spring Invitational on Saturday at Shawnee State Golf Park Resort in Friendship, Ohio.

The Phoenix won the 18-hole event by four shots over the University of the Cumberlands and nine in front of the University of Pikeville. Sunday’s second round was canceled due to inclement weather.
