LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland wrestling program announced the signing of Donelson Christian Academy product Jamison Manning to scholarship papers for the 2012-13 academic year. Manning is the seventh signee for the program for next season.


Wrestling inks Sandefer, Gallegos

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland wrestling program announced the signings of Steven Sandefer and Joe Gallegos to scholarship papers for the 2012-13 academic year over the weekend. Sandefer and Gallegos become the fifth and sixth signees for the program for next season.


Boston, Bell ink with CU wrestling

Eight wrestlers qualify for national tournament

Hunt, Shoultz named Mid-South Scholar-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Zeke Hunt and Andy Shoultz were named Mid-South Conference Scholar-Athletes at the conference championships in Williamsburg, Ky. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average to be eligible for the award.

Swint relieved of duties; Grindstaff takes over

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University wrestling coach Jarad Swint has been relieved of duties immediately, as announced by Director of Athletics Ron Pavan on Monday. Dr. Jason Grindstaff, a former grappler at Dakota Wesleyan University and current faculty member at CU, will take over the team for the rest of the season.


Bulldogs fall at Cumberlands

LEBANON, Tenn. – Nick Sasfy pinned Justin Dillinger at 174 and Jake Shirley and Cody Linton also posted victories, but 12th-ranked University of the Cumberlands was too much, with the Patriots claiming a 32-12 dual match victory over the Bulldogs on Friday evening in Williamsburg, Ky.
