Bulldogs win 7-0, Langille nets five more goals

LEBANON, Tenn. – Kelsey Langille netted a season-high five goals and Brenna Evilcizer and Renee LaRose each added scores in Cumberland’s 7-0 victory over the University of the Cumberlands in women’s soccer action Saturday at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field.

The Bulldogs (7-1-0, 3-0-0 Mid-South) won their fourth straight match overall and setup a showdown with third-ranked Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday at 5 p.m. CT in Columbia, Ky. CU also extended its shutout streak to 318:27, recording the team’s third straight shutout.

Langille posted her fourth match this season with at least three goals, including scores in the second, 35th and 45th minutes in the first half, as the Bulldogs took a 4-0 lead at halftime. LaRose netted her second goal of the year in the 15th minute.

Langille added two more goals in the 64th and 65th minutes, her 19th and 20th of the year in just eight matches. Evilcizer netted the final goal for CU in the 84th minute.

Lindsay Kitson registered her fourth clean sheet of the year and third straight, making four saves in net. UC keeper Autumn Williams collected seven saves for the Patriots (2-5-0, 0-2-0).
