Five women's soccer players named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s soccer players Mariah Aplin, Autumn Copeland, Luca Jöns, Ashley Kambeitz and Savannah Moreland were named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes on Friday, as announced by the national office during the NAIA Championships in Orange Beach, Ala.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average to be eligible for the award. Student-athletes must also have been enrolled at their current institution for one full academic year to be eligible.

Kambeitz posts a 4.00 GPA in Accounting/Marketing while Aplin holds a 3.95 in Psychology and Copeland carries a 3.91 in Exercise and Sports Science. Moreland registers a 3.83 in Criminal Justice/Public Administration and Jöns has a 3.84 in Management.
