LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University’s Rebecca Holloway may hear her name called today in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft that takes place at 11 a.m. CT at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago, Ill.
Holloway is one of the registered players for the draft, as released this week by the NWSL. Fans may follow along with the draft using the hashtag #NWSLDraft and following the NWSL accounts for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Holloway earned Honorable Mention All-America and Mid-South Conference Player of the Year honors each of the last two seasons. The Bristol, England, native led the conference and ranked 12th nationally with 22 goals this past season, adding 10 assists for the Phoenix, who finished 16-3-1.
She netted 40 goals with 36 assists during her four-year Cumberland career. Holloway posted six goals and nine assists as a sophomore and followed that with 11 goals and 12 assists last season.
