CU women move up to 13th in NAIA Coaches' Poll

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s tennis moved up five spots to No. 13 in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll after winning four of the team’s first five matches of the regular season, as announced Tuesday by the national office.

The Phoenix posted three victories in four outings on a Spring Break trip to Macon, Ga., defeating 10th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan, No. 19 Loyola University and 12th-ranked Middle Georgia State. Cumberland also posted a victory over Tennessee Wesleyan in the regular season opener February 26.

CU registered a 7-2 win Tuesday at home against Martin Methodist and face Bethel University at 1 p.m. on Friday and William Woods University at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
