Martinez becomes first Bulldog in major leagues
LEBANON, Tenn. – Former Cumberland University catcher Luis Martinez became the first Bulldog player ever to reach the major leagues when he called up late Thursday night by the San Diego Padres. Martinez is expected to be in uniform this evening when the Padres take on Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium.
Mandarino named Cal Ripken League All-Star
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland baseball All-American Mike Mandarino was named to the Cal Ripken League All-Star Team, a wooden bat summer league for college players comprised of eight teams in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan region.

Bulldogs ranked 19th in Coaches' Spring Top 25
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland is ranked 19th in the 2011 NAIA Football Coaches’ Spring Top 25 Poll released Monday by the national office. The Bulldogs finished the 2010 campaign ranked 23rd nationally and were ranked in the NAIA Top 25 in eight of the 10 regular season polls last season, reaching as high as 16th in the nation.

Spring practice under way for Cumberland
