BROOKINGS, S.D.--Phoenix student-athletes made strong performances on the final day of the 2020 NAIA Indoor National Championships, bringing home three third places, two sixth places, and one seventh.

LEBANON, Tenn. -- Mid-South Conference officials unveiled this morning that conference coaches have selected Cumberland women's soccer to finish second out of nine teams for the 2019 season. The 2018 squad ranked second last year in the Mid-South, finishing the season 16-3-1 (5-1-1 MSC).

Women's Volleyball picked Fifth in MSC Preseason Polls

LEBANON, Tenn. -- The Mid-South Conference Coaches' Poll revealed its preseason women's volleyball poll this morning, selecting the Phoenix as fifth out of nine teams. Cumberland finished last season with a 17-18 (6-8 MSC) record and return All Mid-South Conference players Masa Nalovic, Lyssette Serna, and Mikayala Wickham.

Mid-South Conference Announces Addition of Three Institutions

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Mid-South Conference announced the addition of Bethel University, Freed-Hardeman University, and Martin Methodist College Thursday afternoon in Jackson, Tennessee. The schools will join the MSC in the 2020-21 season as the 10th, 11th, and 12th full members of the conference.

Holloway signs Professional Contract with Birmingham City Football Club

LEBANON, Tenn.- Former Cumberland women's soccer standout Rebecca Holloway signs a professional contract with Birmingham City Football Club out of Birmingham, England. Holloway becomes the second professional player the Phoenix have had in program history. The first professional player from the program was Olivia Chu, a teammate of Holloway's in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

NAIA Honors Eight Cumberland Teams for Academic Excellence

LEBANON, Tenn. – The NAIA announced that eight Cumberland athletic teams have earned NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2018-19 academic year. Teams must have a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average or higher for all eligible varsity student-athletes during the past academic year to be eligible for the award.

LEBANON, Tenn.- Cumberland Head Track and Field Coach Mardy Scales announced the hiring of Atsu Nyamadi this week. Nyamadi spent last season working at Florida A&M University as the Multis, Jumps and Throwing coach.
