Macie Pringle begins her second season as assistant coach with Cumberland Women’s Volleyball. She spent the 2019-2020 season as the graduate assistant coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. This fall, she will also be stepping into her first season as the 18-1’s head coach at MidTN Volleyball Club, in Smyrna, TN.
At Southeastern, she was responsible for recruiting, statistics, supervising academics, and film breakdown. During her graduate assistant year, Pringle was the head coach of 17-1’s and assistant coach of 13-1’s at Summit North Volleyball Club in Sherman, TX. Prior to her graduate assistant role, Pringle was the head coach of 15 Liberty at Tennessee Performance Volleyball Club in Franklin, TN.
Following her graduation in 2017, she worked in corporate healthcare as an Education Coordinator, and spent the fall of 2017 as an assistant coach at Ravenwood High School, helping lead the varsity team to a TSSAA AAA State Runner-Up title and the junior varsity team to a District Runner-Up title.
In 2014 and 2015, the Franklin, TN, native played for two seasons at NCAA Division II University of North Alabama in Florence, AL. During both seasons, the Lions made an appearance in the Gulf South Conference championship, securing first place and making a 2015 NCAA tournament appearance.
Pringle attended Independence High School, where she helped lead her team to two state tournament appearances, and secured the TSSAA AAA State Runner-Up title in 2011. She lettered in volleyball all four years, was team captain and team MVP her junior and senior year, and acquired four All-District and All-Tournament awards.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Sport Management from the University of North Alabama in 2017 and will graduate from Cumberland with her Master’s of Arts in Sport Management.
