LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University will host four summer baseball camps in June and July at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium and the Benton Jennings Indoor Facility on the CU campus. Camp dates run from June 13-July 8.
All campers will receive a free t-shirt and one-on-one instruction with longtime head coach Woody Hunt. Camp sessions will take place on the playing surface and practice areas of Ernest L. Stockton Field as well as in the Benton Jennings Indoor Facility.
Hitting Camp takes place June 13-16 with ages 6-9 from 9 a.m.-Noon and ages 10-12 from 1-4 p.m. each day. The camp emphasizes techniques of hitting and devices used to help teach proper hitting mechanics. Cost is $85 per camper.
Fundamental Camp will be held June 20-23 for ages 8-14. Camp sessions run from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day. Fundamentals in all phases of the game will be emphasized during the morning sessions and campers will take part in game situations and scrimmages during the afternoon. Lunch is provided and cost is $160 per camper.
Pitching Camp takes place June 27-30 from 9 a.m.-Noon for ages 8-14. Basic and advanced fundamentals and mechanics of pitching will be taught during the sessions. Cost is $85 per camper.
The Advanced Fundamental Camp will be held July 5-8 for ages 13-18 from 9 a.m.-Noon. Advanced fundamentals in all phases of the game will be emphasized along with game situations and scrimmages. Cost is $85 per camper.
