LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland student-athletes took some time to give back to the Lebanon community Friday, as more than 50 players visited Sam Houston Elementary to share wisdom on college life and offer tips in their respective sports at the Sports Spectacular.
Members of the men’s and women’s soccer, football, women’s basketball, wrestling, volleyball, baseball and softball teams were all present during the day’s events.
The day opened with the student-athletes discussing college classes, extra-curricular activities and everything in between as they answered questions from the Sam Houston students.
Following the classroom sessions, the group headed outside to give the youngsters advice on the playing field before concluding the day with popcorn and an autograph session.
The Sports Spectacular was one of many opportunities which allow the Bulldogs to extend a hand to the local community as part of an ongoing effort to make a difference in the Lebanon and Wilson County areas.
