LEBANON, Tenn. – Over the course of the month of November, Cumberland athletic programs have made a pair of trips to build houses for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville.
Cumberland softball visited the site on Sunday, November 3 and representatives of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), including members of the baseball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, wrestling, volleyball and men's soccer teams, took part on Nov. 10.
The teams aided in the construction of homes in connection with Habitat’s mission of “enabling dignity of life for those who choose it and work to achieve it, help to create safer neighborhoods for more children and facilitate a pathway of hope for those they serve.”
The Habitat trip was part of an ongoing Cumberland initiative to continue to extend a hand to the local community and make a difference in the Lebanon and Wilson County areas.
