
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland senior Austin Krajnak posted nine hits with two home runs and eight RBIs in five games to earn Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honors, as announced Monday by the league office.
The Little Elm, Texas, native batted .563 (9-for-16) in five outings, including a solo homer in the first game of a doubleheader at Talladega College. He drove in two runs in the first game of a three-game series at Campbellsville University and was 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and four RBIs along with three runs scored in the final contest at Campbellsville, helping CU salvage the last game of the series.
Krajnak leads the Phoenix with a .380 batting average with four doubles, eight home runs, 27 RBIs and 20 runs scored in 23 games.
