Cumberland Baseball launches Virtual Auction

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland University baseball launches their annual baseball auction virtually for the first time.

Traditionally, Cumberland baseball hosts a dinner and an auction at the beginning of the season where fans, family, and other patrons have the opportunity to bid on great auction items to benefit the Cumberland University baseball team. However, this year due to COVID-19 the baseball dinner was canceled, but the auction will be held online and run through April 25, 2021, at 11:55 p.m.

Hall of Fame Coach Woody Hunt said, "It is a great event, it is unfortunate that we could not get together in honor of the season, but we hope that this will be just as successful as years past. We have plenty of great items we hope will draw some attention to raise money for the program."

The Cumberland Baseball Auction is now live and ready to accept your bid on over 60 great items.

To look over the items and to place your bid simply follow these easy steps:
1) Click on this link CU Baseball Auction
2) Register by clicking on the Login/Register tab
3) Enter your information and receive your bidder number
4) Place your bids on the item(s) you like

Additional items are still being added to the auction site so you should check back often.

If you are outbid on an item, you will receive a text message to let you know you have been outbid and be given an opportunity to increase your bid. This means you will not have to check the auction site every day to see if you are still the high bidder.

A new feature in this year's auction is the opportunity to make donations directly to five specific funds that will benefit CU Baseball. The funds include baseball scholarships, uniforms, bats, balls, and cleats. Our goal through these specific funds is to raise a minimum of $43,000 in honor of Coach Hunt's 43 years at Cumberland.
