137 student-athletes named to Spring Dean's List
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University announced the 2014 Spring Semester Dean’s List last week, which includes 137 current and former student-athletes and athletic training majors. The honor is reserved for students who have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.
131 student-athletes, personnel set to graduate
LEBANON, Tenn. – A record 131 current and former Cumberland student-athletes, athletic trainers and athletic staff will receive their degrees this Saturday in the 172nd Commencement ceremonies on the lawn of Memorial Hall on the CU campus. It marks the fourth straight year of increase in the number of graduates for athletic department student-athletes and personnel.
Athletics set to honor Bulldog scholar-athletes
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland Athletics will host the Third Annual Scholar-Athlete Recognition Day with a breakfast for 132 current students at Immanuel Baptist Church on Friday, April 25. Current Bulldog student-athletes must maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average with at least 30 credit hours passed before the spring semester.
Cheer tryouts set for April 4-5
LEBANON, Tenn. – Tryouts for the 2014-15 Cumberland University cheerleading and dance squads will be held April 4-5 at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center on the CU campus. A clinic will take place on Friday, April 4 from 6-8 p.m. and tryouts will be held Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Four cheerleaders earn Mid-South Scholar-Athlete honors
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Presli Dickerson, Peyton Hosale, Haley Pitcock and Nicolette Tavares were all named Mid-South Conference Scholar-Athletes earlier this month during the conference championships in Pikeville, Ky.
