Bell places 17th for CU bowling in Cincinnati

LEBANON, Tenn. – Junior Peyton Bell finished 17th and sophomore Jarred Bradshaw placed 73rd for Cumberland bowling at the Cincinnati Collegiate Classic at Western Bowl in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 26-27, the final Mid-South Conference event of the season before the league tournament in February.

Bell knocked down 1860 pins over nine games, a 206.7 average, for 17th among 223 participants from 24 teams during the event. The Lebanon native needed only 33 more pins to place in the Top 10.

Bradshaw collected 1692 pins in nine games for a 188.0 average while sophomore Matthew Charlton finished with 1586 pins (97th), a 176.2 average, and freshman Thomas Chenault had 1158 pins.

For the women freshman Hattie Isham finished 94th with 1288 pins, a 143.1 average over nine games, and freshmen Caitlyn Gann and Kristina Walls placed 96th and 97th, respectively, among 173 bowlers with 1279 and 1273 pins.

Freshman Kristin Sheffield was 102 with 1235 pins and freshman Skyann Wiley placed 103rd with 1228 pins.

The Mid-South Conference Championships are set for February 22-24 at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green, Ky.
