Men's Bowling finishes 11th at Baker Shootout

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Marian (Ind.) opened the Mid-South Conference Men's Bowling Regular season with a victory at the Bowling Green Baker Shootout on Friday at Southern Lanes.

This was the first of five regular-season conference bowling tournaments this season. The tournament consisted of 25 baker games.

Marian  won the event with 5,185 pins while Tennessee Wesleyan finished runner-up with 5,012 pins. Pikeville (Ky.) finished third with a total of 4,944 pins, Bethel (Ky.) placed fourth with 4,779 pins and Life (Ga.) totaled 4,719 pins to round out the top-five.

Martin Methodist (Tenn.) finished sixth with 4,714 pins, Cumberlands (Ky.) totaled 4,699 pins to place seventh and Midway (Ky.) finished in eighth with 4,579 pins.

Blue Mountain (Miss.) posted a ninth-place finish with 4,565 pins, Shawnee State (Ohio) totaled 4,544 pins to finish in 10th and Cumberland (Tenn.) finished in 11th with 4,524 pins. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Union (Ky.) round out the team standings with 4,351 and 4,340 pins, respectively.

The next MSC regular-season tournament is scheduled to be on Jan.23-24 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
