LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Cumberland finishes in 12th place at the MSC Men's Bowling Thomas Burris Memorial on Sunday.
Andrew Scantland was the highest finisher for Cumberland in 32nd place. Scantland posted 1,071 total pins for an average of 214.2. Carter Baylog finished just behind him in 37th at 1,044. He posted an average of 208.8. Casey Estep came in 45th at 1,038.
Caleb Gregory finished in 60th with 1,008 pins. Matthew Charlton was 72nd with 980 pins.
Pikeville won the MSC Men's Bowling Thomas Burris Memorial on Sunday with a total of 8,517 pins. The tournament consisted of five team games being bowled and 12 baker games. Pikeville was led by Eli Mayberry who won the individual title with 1,258 pins.
Tennessee Southern finished third with 8,274 pins while Cumberlands (Ky.) was sixth at 7,770 pins. Midway (Ky.) tallied 7,675 pins, Tennessee Wesleyan and Campbellsville finished in ninth and 10th with 7,520 pins and 7,402 pins, respectively.
The Phoenix finished 12th with 7,323 pins, Thomas More (Ky.) was 15th with 7,214 pins while Bethel (Tenn.) tallied 7,114 pins to finish 16th. Shawnee State (Ohio) placed 17th while Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Union round the MSC teams in 18th and 21st, respectively.
Tennessee Southern finished second in the regular-season standings with a record of 50-5 followed by Cumberlands who was 40-15. Tennessee Wesleyan finished fourth with a record of 39-16 while Midway rounds out the top five with a 29-26 record.
