LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University cross country coach Jared Klosterboer announced the signing of Nashville, Tenn., native Garang Madut to scholarship papers for the 2013 seasons.
Madut graduated from Glencliff High School, earning four letters in cross country and two in track and field for coach Brian Dunning. He also garnered four letters in wrestling for the Colts, placing fifth at 113 in the state tournament as a senior and winning the Hendersonville Open. He was a member of the 2013 Middle Tennessee Dream Team at 113 as well and is the son of Ayen Wen and Josep Majok.
Madut joins Zeddy Jepkosge, Tanner Harp, Spencer Rearick and Richie Palmeiri in this year’s recruiting class.
