137 student-athletes named to Spring Dean's List
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University announced the 2014 Spring Semester Dean’s List last week, which includes 137 current and former student-athletes and athletic training majors. The honor is reserved for students who have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.
131 student-athletes, personnel set to graduate
LEBANON, Tenn. – A record 131 current and former Cumberland student-athletes, athletic trainers and athletic staff will receive their degrees this Saturday in the 172nd Commencement ceremonies on the lawn of Memorial Hall on the CU campus. It marks the fourth straight year of increase in the number of graduates for athletic department student-athletes and personnel.
Athletics set to honor Bulldog scholar-athletes
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland Athletics will host the Third Annual Scholar-Athlete Recognition Day with a breakfast for 132 current students at Immanuel Baptist Church on Friday, April 25. Current Bulldog student-athletes must maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average with at least 30 credit hours passed before the spring semester.

Men, women harriers both finish seventh at MSC meet

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland sophomore Keaton Gaffney and freshman Garang Madut both finished 55th in fields of over 175 competitors and junior Zeddy Koech, freshman Alesa Steiner and freshman Tanner Harp all placed in the Top 100, leading the Bulldog harriers at the Berry Invitational on Saturday in Mt. Berry, Ga.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Sophomore Keaton Gaffney and freshman Garang Madut were the top finishers for the Cumberland cross country teams Saturday in what was just short of a monsoon at the Greater Louisville Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.
