Harp, Madut lead harriers at St. Louis Fall Classic

LEBANON, Tenn. – Sophomore Garang Madut placed 36th and sophomore Tanner Harp finished 52nd, leading the Cumberland cross country teams at the St. Louis Fall Classic on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo.

Madut completed the 8K course in 29:00, while Harp finished in 30:11 at Forest Park. Sophomore Spencer Rearick was 76th in 33:03, freshman Austin Meyn came across in 84th in 35:35, freshman Evan Cole placed 86th in 37:09 and freshman John Daugherty posted a time of 37:11 for 87th.

Sophomores Keaton Gaffney and Alesa Steiner led the CU women in 62nd and 66th, respectively, registering times of 22:10 and 22:25 on the 5K course. Junior Savannah Pitt finished 105th in 26:09, while junior Megan Hacker completed the course in 28:50 (111th) and sophomore Christi Armstrong was 113th in 29:17. Junior Chelsea Reeves placed 114th in 29:42 and freshman Ally Johnson was 115th in 35:32.

Cumberland competes again November 8 at the Mid-South Conference Championships in Portsmouth, Ohio.
