Lebanon, Tenn.-- Jason Bowers garners third MSC Cross Country Runner of the Week honors, as announced by conference officials this afternoon.

The freshman out of Parys, South Africa is being recognized for the third time this season after finishing first out of 416 racers in the 8k race at the ‘Live in the Lou’ classic. It was his first 8K race and he finished ahead of several NCAA DI racers. 

Bowers has now received the award after all three of his races as a Phoenix. He has been named the NAIA National Runner of the Week twice now and is in the pool of racers for the award this week as well. 

This week's NAIA Runner of the Week will be announced on Wednesday, October 5th. 

Cross Country’s next meet will be in Owensboro, Ky. at the Brescia Invitational.
