Cumberland University recently received 15 votes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Poll, moving the team to just outside the Top 25 in the nation, according to CU Head Coach Scott Wilkerson.

The CU men's golf team has also rocketed to a No. 2 regional ranking, up from a last-place preseason ranking. The 'Dawgs are in second place behind Campbellsville University, currently ranked No. 14 in the country. The CU men will meet Campbellsville in the upcoming Region XI Tournament, which they will also host.

"We are really making some waves and, with a strong conference showing, we should make our way into the Top 25 without problems," Wilkerson said of the team.
