Cumberland takes second at Spring Invitational
The Cumberland University Men's Golf Team shot 299-298 to finish second at the Spring Invitational at Old Silo Golf Course in Mt. Sterling, Ky. Senior Jonathon Drake was named to the All-Tournament Team. According to Head Coach Scott Wilkerson, the second-place finish was "quite an accomplishment" as there were two nationally ranked teams in the field.
"This performance is a direct result of the hard work that was put in during the off-season and the commitment of the coaching staff and the University," Wilkerson said. "We are determined to make this program one of the best in the nation, and we see this as a sign of things to come."
