CU Men's Golf wraps up the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational

WAVERLY, Ga.-- Cumberland men's golf jumped up two spots to tie for 11th after posting their best score in the final round with a 291 at the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational.

Southeastern University held on to win the tournament by one stroke with a total score of 846. Truett-McConnell moved up two spots in the final round to finish second with 847 strokes while Dalton State finished third with 848. South Carolina Beaufort and Coastal Georgia round out the Top-5.

Domino Mollesand recorded the highest finish for Cumberland ending in a tie for 23rd place. Mollesand shot a 72 in the final round to bring his score to 216. He finished the final round with six birdies and seven pars.

Seth Clayton competed in the tournament as an individual posting a 73 in the final round to give him a three-round total of 218. He finished in a tie for 34th after his final round included three birdies, four bogeys, and 11 pars.

Christian Lindgreen flew up the leaderboard after shooting a 69 in the final round for a three-round total of 223. The junior finished tied for 51st in the tournament after moving up 17 spots on the final day.

Will Samuelsson posted a third-round score of 74, two-over-par. Samuelsson played very consistently all weekend shooting a 74 in round one and a 75 in round two giving him a 223 on the tournament. 

Tom Scullion finished his final round of the tournament with a 76. He recorded three birdies in the final round with three bogeys and two doubles. He tied with Samuelsson and Lindgreen for 51st place.

Patrick Chesnut shot a 78 in today's round to finish with a 233 in three rounds. 

Brooks Gineris won the tournament from Reinhardt with an 11-under. Teammates Noah Endicott and Matthew Soucinek from Southeastern and George Langham from Coastal Georgia finished in a three-way tie for second at nine-under.

Cumberland will be back in action on September 26-27 at the Invite at Innisbrook.
