Cumberland University midfielder Juan Pablo Aparicio was recently honored with an invitation to train with the Guatemala U23 National Team. Juan Pablo, a junior at CU from Guatemala City, went to camp with the team to train with the likes of international star Carlos Ruiz as the team prepares to finalize its roster for the upcoming Olympic qualification matches.

"The coaches requested video of Pablo during the fall," CU Head Coach Jeff Loucks said. "They have been keeping track of him. We are all extremely happy for Pablo and very proud."

For his part, Aparicio was both impressed and humbled, stating, "It was just a privelege to get a chance with the team."
