Sixteen soccer players named TranSouth Scholar-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Sixteen Cumberland soccer players were recognized this week as TranSouth Scholar-Athletes, including six women and 10 men. The athletes must carry a 3.0 or better grade-point-average heading into the fall semester.
 
Six women’s soccer players received the honor, including seniors Natasha Yakimovich-Wang, Brittany Kirby, Jena Bradley, Cierra Boots and Susan Simpson. Sophomore Helena Dimantas Farias was also an honoree.
 
Ten men’s soccer players were recognized as well, including seniors Francisco Zamora, Juan Pablo Aparicio, J.T. Gordy, Michael Michailidis, Adam Owczarzak and Yue Wang. Junior Daniel Ramsay and sophomores Jasper Driskill, Zack Batty, Seth Obermeyer were also members of the squad.
