LEBANON, Tenn. – Jasper Driskill's shot hit the underside of the crossbar and looked to bounce across the goalline in the final seconds but was disallowed and Cumberland played to a 1-1 draw against Lyon College on Saturday in men’s soccer action in Batesville, Ark.

Robert Boyd scored for the Bulldogs (4-4-2, 0-1-1 TranSouth) in the 63rd minute on a rebound after Harry Mason's shot hit the post, giving CU a 1-0 advantage, but the Scots (5-4-1, 0-1-1) tied the match three minutes later when Serhiy Zhykin assisted on Bill Jeffries’ score.

Cumberland keeper Matthew Shattuck kept his club in the match, making 10 saves, as the Scots posted a 23-9 advantage in shots. Lyon goalie Thomas Guarino posted just one save in net.

Cumberland hosts Oakland City University at 1 p.m. next Saturday at the CU Soccer Field.
