Gubby John-Williams begins his first season as a student assistant coach at Cumberland after finishing his eligibility in 2010 for the Bulldogs.

John-Williams played in 24 career contests, 22 in goal, over four years for CU, making 85 saves in more than 1,400 career minutes. Last season he started 11 matches and played in 12 total, recording 46 saves with three victories and two shutouts. He ranked fifth in the TranSouth Conference in total saves and earned TranSouth Scholar-Athlete honors as well.
John-Williams is currently majoring in Criminal Justice and expects to graduate in December 2010. His brother, Gerard John-Williams, played one season for the Bulldogs in 2008.
