Gubby John-Williams begins his third season on the Cumberland staff and second as a graduate assistant after finishing his eligibility in 2010 for the Bulldogs.

John-Williams played in 24 career contests, 22 in goal, over four years for CU, making 85 saves in more than 1,400 career minutes. He started 11 matches and played in 13 total as a senior, recording 46 saves with three victories and two shutouts. He ranked fifth in the TranSouth Conference in total saves and earned TranSouth Scholar-Athlete honors as well.

John-Williams received his bachelor's in Criminal Justice in 2011 and is currently enrolled in the master's program for Sport and Exercise Pedagogy. His brother, Gerard John-Williams, played one season for the Bulldogs in 2008.

2010 (SENIOR):
Named TranSouth Scholar-Athlete ... Played in 13 matches with 11 starts, almost exclusively in goal, making 46 saves with a 2.57 goals-against-average ... Ranked fifth in TranSouth Conference in total saves ... Posted three victories with two shutouts ... Registered five saves in 2-0 triumph over Emmanuel College in season opener ... Allowed two goals and made three saves in loss to Faulkner Univ. ... Recorded five saves in 2-1 loss to Lindenwood Univ. and eight saves at Bethel Univ. ... Collected two saves in 2-0 win against Brescia Univ. ... Posted seven saves in 3-2 defeat to Martin Methodist ... Had four saves each in consecutive matches versus Mid-Continent and Trevecca Nazarene ... Made five saves in just 31-plus minutes in loss to Freed-Hardeman.

2009 (JUNIOR): Played in five matches with three starts ... Started first three matches of the season in goal, allowing pair of goals at Union College and four versus Lambuth Univ. ... Made seven saves in three outings ... Also played two matches in the field, taking one shot at Campbellsville Univ.

2008 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in two matches ... Saved 5-of-7 shots in win over Reinhardt College ... Registered career-high 14 saves versus Campbellsville Univ.

2007 (FRESHMAN): Played in three matched, starting one ... Saved all four shots on goal against Carson-Newman ... Added four saves versus Alabama-Huntsville.
