LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University tennis players Devin Crotzer and Shawn Schaefer were both named 2011 Daktronics NAIA National Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the national office during the recently completed national championships. Student-athletes must be a junior academically and maintain a 3.50 or above grade-point-average to qualify for the award.
Crotzer, a junior from Lebanon, Tenn., carries a 3.79 GPA in General Business. Schaefer, a fifth-year senior from Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, has a 3.66 GPA in Fitness and Wellness. Schaefer earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete accolades in 2010 as a member of the Bulldog baseball team.
