LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland men’s tennis team moved up one spot to seventh in this week’s NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. In addition, CU’s men’s and women’s matches scheduled for Friday at Auburn Montgomery have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

The Bulldogs have won five straight matches overall, including victories over 13th-ranked Graceland College and No. 7 Xavier [LA] University. CU has also defeated St. Catharine College, the University of the Cumberlands and Martin Methodist in the last two weeks.

Friday’s forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of rain in Montgomery, thus the cancellation of the matches against the Warhawks. Cumberland next plays at Lindsey Wilson on Wednesday, April 9.
