Five tracksters named Academic All-Mid-South Conference

LEBANON, Tenn. – Five Cumberland track and field athletes – Sydney Clere, Dylon Dishman, Parker Kuchek, Bumnene Ndebele and Charles Shimukowa – were named Academic All-Mid-South Conference, as announced Wednesday by the league office in advance of this week’s conference championships in Williamsburg, Ky.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average and above to be eligible for the award.

Shimukowa holds a 4.00 grade-point-average while working on his master’s in Business Administration. Ndebele carries a 3.61 GPA in Sports Management and Kuckek has a 3.56 in Mathematics. Clere registers a 3.50 in Mathematics and Dishman has a 3.40 in Business Administration.

The Mid-South Conference Championships take place Friday and Saturday in Williamsburg, Ky.
