Forbes hits “A” Standards in 600m at Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Cumberland track and field had six athletes run at the Music City Challenge Friday evening hosted by Vanderbilt. 

The Phoenix only brought a few athletes to run in the 600m to try to hit some standards ahead of the Mid-South Conference Championships next week. 

On the men’s side, Joel Forbes came in 10th place with a time of 1:20.44, but that time gave Forbes NAIA “A” Standards with the 11th fastest 600m time in the NAIA this season. 

Tahmar Upshaw finished in 14th at 1:21.71 just missing out on “B” standards. Benjamin Nyakudya came in 20th place with a time of 1:23.17. 

For the women, Sabrina Anderson, Maddie Biddle, and Hailee Servais each ran. Anderson came in 29th, Biddle was 30th, and Servais was 32nd with times of 1:54.26, 1:54.52, and 1:55.97.
