Gray signs with Bulldogs

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland softball coach Heather Stanfill announced the signing of Corona, Calif., native Caitlin Gray to scholarship papers for the 2009-10 academic year this week. Gray becomes the ninth player for the Bulldogs in the 2009 signing class.
Gray graduated from Centennial High School in Corona in 2008 where she was a four-year letterwinner for coach Brian Everett. She earned First Team All-Mountain View League as a pitcher during her junior and senior seasons and garnered Player of the Year honors as a senior. She was also named Honorable Mention All-Area as a senior and earned the Varsity Coach’s Award as a freshman.
While at Centennial Gray was part of the U.N.I.T.Y. Program (Understanding, Not Ignoring Today’s Youth) and was the Activities Coordinator during her junior year.
Gray currently attends Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, Ariz. EAC is currently 37-14 overall this season for coach Kate McCluskey.

She is the daughter of Lisa and Tad Gray.
Gray joins Station Camp’s Christina Manis, Macon County’s Chandra Brooks, Mt. Juliet’s Megan Lavery, Houston County’s Shannel Nolen, Ravenwood’s Nicole Swann, White House’s Emily Nicholson, Lawrence County’s Allison Blackwood and DeKalb County’s Victoria Bennett in this year’s signing class.
