LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University volleyball coach Dwayne Deering recently announced the addition of Jaclyn Rodriguez to the 2010 squad.

Rodriguez, a 5-foot-2 defensive specialist, is transferring from John A. Logan College, where she played one season with current CU outside hitter Jessica Gericke.

The Allen Park, Mich., native played in all 105 sets her sophomore year and led the team in digs both seasons, with 390 as a freshman and 437 in her second season. Rodriguez also had 30 service aces in her two seasons at JALC.

A three-year letterwinner at Allen Park High School for coach Kristie Gasiorek, Rodriguez holds school records for most digs in a season (724) and highest serve receive percentage (77.69). She was named All-League two times and All-Region as a senior.

She is the daughter of Dennis and Julie Rodriguez.
