Bulldogs ink Eagleville's Barnes
Kelsie Barnes signed scholarship papers with the volleyball team for the 2012-13 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland volleyball coach Dwayne Deering announced the signing of Eagleville High School product Kelsie Barnes to scholarship papers for the 2012-13 academic year.

Barnes was a volleyball letterwinner for coach Kara Leathers at Eagleville High and also played basketball for the Eagles, ranking in the Top 10 All-Area in rebounding and 3-point percentage. She also ranked first on her team in 3-point percentage and free throw percentage.

Barnes will graduate as the class Salutatorian, serving as Class Vice President for two years as well as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes captain. She is also a member of the Spanish Honor Society and BETA Club and is the daughter of Charles and Marilyn Barnes.

Barnes is the sixth signee for the Bulldogs for next season, joining Jessica Stas, Jacklyn Munoz, Desirae Burris, Caitlin Carlander and Emily Owsley.
