Volleyball signs Dickson County's Perez
Ashton Perez signed scholarship papers with the Bulldogs for the 2-013-14 season.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University volleyball coach Dwayne Deering announced the signing of Dickson, Tenn., native Ashton Perez to scholarship papers for the 2013-14 academic year. Perez is the fourth signee for the Bulldogs for next season.

The Dickson County High School product lettered three years for coach Bert Newberry, earning All-District 10-AAA and All-District 10-AAA Tournament honors as a junior and senior and All-Region 5-AAA accolades as a junior. She finished her senior campaign with over 800 assists and was second on the team in blocks and kills. Perez was also a team captain as a junior and senior.

She is a member of BETA Club and the Student Council as well as a HOSA state competitor, Freshman Mentor and Clinical Internship. She is the daughter of Richard and Johnna Perez.

Perez joins Michelle Daniels, Kasi Wells and Jenny Daniels in this year’s recruiting class.
