Bulldogs lose heartbreaker to TNU
Cumberland fell by a score of 76-67 at the hands of the nationally ranked Lady Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene. Cumberland got off to a hot start, as they led 22-11 early in the first half, but TNU stormed back to take a 34-33 lead at the half. Cumberland was led in scoring by Chaquaila Gaten, who finished with 18 points. Renae Williams recorded her 11th double-double by scoring 16 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Keshia Brown also pulled down 11 rebounds. CU falls to 10-11 (2-7) and will next be in action on Saturday when they host Blue Mountain College at home. Game time is set for 2 p.m. CST.
