CU drops decision to Houston Baptist

Cumberland University lost 72-60 on the road against Houston Baptist University. CU led early in the second half, by as many as 13 points, but the Lady Huskies went on a 28-9 run and forced the Lady Bulldogs into 30 turnovers. The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Renae Williams, who scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Keshia Brown scored 14 and had eight rebounds, and Kari Maddox scored eight points and had 11 rebounds. CU fell to 8-3 on the year and will next be in action on Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. as they travel to Owensboro, Ky. to take on Brescia University.
