Teoria Woods from Wilson Central signs with Women's Basketball

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s basketball coach Scott Blum announced the signing of Wilson Central guard Teoria Woods to scholarship papers for the 2020-21 season.

Woods is from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee playing guard at Wilson Central High School. She earned JV District 9-AAA All-Tournament honors in 2018. Outside of basketball, Woods was a Tennessee Scholar, National Honors Society member, and a Beta Club member. She enjoys playing basketball, helping at her church, and doing volunteer work.

She plans on majoring in accounting while at Cumberland. After she graduates, she plans on pursuing a job as an accountant in the business field. She wants to start my own accounting company that can be a major financial help for low-income residents and many other residences. She also plans on supporting Cumberland University and the women's basketball team while also supporting her local community.

Teoria is the daughter of Jacqueline Woods. Her relative Carl Woods played football for Vanderbilt and Thomas "TD" Woods is the Wide Receivers coach for Eastern Illinois University.
