Former Cumberland player Terra Pryor begins her first seasons on the Phoenix staff as a graduate assistant in 2017-18.

The Lafayette, Tenn., native played in 111 career games with 69 starts at Cumberland, finishing her career with over 650 points and more than 350 rebounds. She posted 2.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 23 minutes of action as a freshman.

Pryor registered the best offensive season of her career as a sophomore, averaging 7.5 points with 2.7 boards per outing, and recorded 4.8 points and 3.2 caroms per contest as a junior. She netted 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as a senior, scoring in double figures 16 times during her career, including a career-best 26 points at Fisk University as a sophomore. She garnered Academic All-Mid-South accolades as a senior as well.

She was a four-year letterwinner for coach Jeff Beam at Macon County High School, earning All-State Tournament honors and Region 5-AA Tournament MVP accolades as a senior, helping the Tigers to the TSSAA AA state championship game. She also garnered All-District and All-District Tournament honors as a junior and senior, shooting 40 percent from 3-point range as a junior and averaging 14.2 points per game as a senior.

Macon County also lost in the AA state title game during her sophomore year. Pryor earned four letters in track and field and soccer and three in cross country at Macon County.

She earned her bachelor’s in Health and Human Performance at Cumberland in May 2017 and is currently working on her master’s in Education with emphasis in Physical Education and Health at CU.
